Colin Abel, Chairman of the Forest of Dartmoor Commoners’ Association talks about the Dartmoor Forest Common – the largest agri-environment scheme in England.
Members of the Forest of Dartmoor Commoners’ Association graze sheep, cattle and ponies on over 11,000 hectares of the moor. The Forest of Dartmoor has been part of the Duchy of Cornwall estate since the 13th century. Today, its importance is recognised by its status as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
